For over three decades, Allplan has developed innovative software solutions for the construction industry. To support the company’s evolving workplace needs, blocher partners designed a new office environment across three floors of the Nemetschek building in Munich.
Completed in May 2023, the 2,000 sqm project combines traditional office planning with contemporary New Work principles, creating a flexible and people-focused workspace tailored to different ways of working.
The office layout balances enclosed offices with two to six workstations alongside open, collaborative areas featuring workstation islands that can be divided using curtains. Employees do not have fixed desks, with workstations bookable daily via digital terminals. Community spaces positioned at the entrance of each floor further encourage interaction and informal collaboration.
A clear material and colour strategy defines the different workplace settings. While the more traditional office areas feature restrained blue and grey tones, the community spaces introduce shades of green, orange niches and light oak furniture to create a warmer and more energetic atmosphere. Meeting rooms are framed with black louvres, adding a refined and contemporary character to the interiors.
The project has now been awarded DGNB Platinum certification, making it one of only four interiors in Germany to achieve this distinction, underlining Allplan and blocher partners’ shared commitment to high-performance, future-focused workplace design.
